William (Bill) R . Martin passed away on July 24, 2011
Born December 13, 1943 to Robert and Dorothy Martin in Brooklyn, New York. Bill attended St. Johns University in Brooklyn. He moved from New York to Salt Lake City to marry his sweetheart, Margarita Visbal. Bill worked for Kennecott Co
r
poration in New York and Salt Lake City for 17 years and later on he owned a janitor
i
al cleaning business in Salt Lake City.
He enjoyed sports, especial
l
y the Chicago Cubs and New York Jets and attending all of his
friends’ children’s sporting events. He loved to cook and was famous for his corned beef
and cabbage at church where he spent many days and hours cooking for different events
.
He is survived by his wife Margarita; children, Denise (Mike) Pergola and Glenn Martin; grandchildren, Jack, Henry and William Pergola
;
special niece, Jessica Visbal, special Aunt Betty Gianquinto; cousin, Bill Williams and other cousins.
Preceded in death by his parents and son, Kenneth Martin.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 11:00 a.m. at St
