Funeral Recording
William Everett Jackson, son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away August 19, 2021 after a long and hard fought battle with AML (leukemia). Willie was born in Ashikaga, Tochigi-Ken, Honshu, Japan on July 31, 1952 to Wayne and Kiyko Sasaki Jackson. He moved with his family to the U.S. in 1953.
Willie was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, hiking and horseback riding. Camping in a campground was not acceptable!! The wilderness was more his style.
Growing up he started hunting at an early age with his Dad and was very involved in the Boy Scouts. He also loved riding bikes as well as disassembling several bikes to build something new, better and faster. Is it any wonder his career path was in mechanics! For fun he got his kicks out of participating in demolition derby’s, scuba diving and his favorite activity, watching his children follow their paths in life. He was so proud of them.
The Jackson family would like to thank the amazing community that is the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. There is not a department within HCH that is not outstanding. Compassion is their motto. Thank you Dr Kovacsovics, Klasina, Dr Lee and the entire BMT/HEM team, words cannot express our gratitude.
Willie is survived by his wife Ellen, sons Brent (Ashley), Kevin (Kaitlin), daughter Rachael (Kohl), his beautiful grandchildren Cooper, Audrey and Baby Boo (coming in Sept), sister Yukie Conard (Bob) and family that will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Steven and nephews Mark and Steven Conard.
