Wanda Kay Trubey Lingo
1941-2018

Wanda Lingo, our endeared and beloved mother, wife, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly at home Sunday morning, June 3. Born August 6, 1941 in Kendallville, Indiana to Mary Ellen Newman and Homer Ray Trubey. Married to David Lingo on May 21, 1977 at the Episcopal Cathedral of Saint Mathew, San Mateo, California.

Wanda is survived by her husband David, daughter Rebecca, sister Karen Wehrle, dog Hallie, enumerable family and friends.

Wanda studied at the Fort Wayne School of Art and Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, Ohio. She was employed by Utah State University as a counselor for the EFNEP program since 1999.  As a teacher in nutrition she improved lives for adults and children for many years. Following retirement, she continued to accommodate the underserved as a volunteer teaching and counseling with VOA, House of Hope, local school districts and many others. She also worked in food service/restaurant management with Log Haven, Cottonwood Hospital, Marriott In-flite, Spice Tree Restaurant, Murray, The Vineyard, Las Vegas, Neiman Marcus, Dallas and a flight attendant, Delta Airlines. Wanda shared her gifts with the community of St. James as the leader of Saint Martha’s Guild providing care for those in need.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018, 11:00 am at Saint James Episcopal Church 7486 South Union Park avenue, Midvale, Utah. Interment and reception to follow.
