Wallace Junior Fordham
1931 - 2018

Wallace (Wally) Junior Fordham of Cottonwood Heights, Utah, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by family members Sunday, January 14, 2018 from natural causes.

Wally was born June 18, 1931 in Greenville, Utah to George Albert Fordham and Jeanette Calvert Fordham. Wally was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. He married his sweetheart and best friend, Phyllis Warner, on October 1, 1952 in the Logan Temple. Wally worked for Mountain Bell/AT&T for 34 years. Upon retirement, he spent most of his time doing for others, and what he loved best was spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also loved his garden and yard, working in the dirt. He was very meticulous in everything he did.

Dad never hesitated or passed up an opportunity to help the many members of his family and friends with any project. Known as a hard worker, he taught that work ethic to his children and grandchildren. Wally loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed many memorable summers camping with his family.

Wally was preceded in death by his parents, his dear wife Phyllis; daughters Julie Fordham and Jill (Bob) Cunliffe; brothers Howard, Ralph, Lamar and Alan Fordham; and sisters Bessie Edwards and Glenna Rae Fordham. He is survived by his brother Dean (Shirley) Fordham and sister Barbara (Lynn) Brasher, daughter Geri (Jeff) King; sons Guy (Natalie) Fordham, and Hal (Jennette) Fordham; grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Butler 7th Ward, 1355 East 7200 South, Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Viewings will be held Friday, January 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7600 South) and the day of the service at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at the Murray City Cemetery. Condolences may be posted at www.cannonmortuary.com.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. David Jack for the many years of service to our parents, Emily Voorhees, the staff and management of the Canyon Creek Care Center, and Symbii Home Health Hospice for the wonderful care provided to Wally.
