Thomas B. Hoagland, loving husband and father, 78 passed away February 22, 2016. Born July 4, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Elva and Clarence F. Hoagland. Married RenéeThoresen, April 15, 1984 in Salt Lake City, Utah; until her passing on October 19, 2014.
Thomas served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy for 8 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a passion for music and was a very talented flutist. He also enjoyed cycling, hockey and wood working.
Survived by his only daughter, Sabrina Hoagland, sister Barbara Grubb and two nieces, Christine (Glen) Christensen and Susan (Randy) Nelson. Preceded in death by his sister, Judith Ann Koehler and nephew Douglas Koehler.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Butler Hill Chapel, 7000 South 2700 East at 11 a.m.. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) Sunday, February 28, from 6-8 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
