02/09/1938 – 11/16/2015
Therese (Terry) Ruth McDaniel passed away peacefully on November 16, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with multiple health issues. She was born on February 9, 1938 to Eva Reiter and Paul Lawrence in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she lived her entire life. Married her sweetheart Richard McDaniel on August 10, 1962 in the Logan LDS Temple.
Terry was the most selfless person we knew. She was always thinking of others and shared everything she had. She loved people and had many friends. She was fun and always the life of the party.
She was a deeply devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was happiest when surrounded by family. She loved family vacations, little league football, Sunday picnics, and holiday traditions.
Terry was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many leadership callings. She was known for her roadshows, and especially loved working with the youth.
She is survived by her husband, Richard McDaniel, daughter, Colleen (Warren) Winterton, sons, Steven, Eddy (Tiffany), and Jim McDaniel; 14 grandchildren, Christy, Janessa, Heather, Sydney, Amanda, Tony, Nick, Jesse, Zachary, Rebecca, Catelyn, Robert, Jakob, and Halle; 4 great grandchildren, Abbie, Lucas, Mason and Kira. Sisters, Polly Sherwin, Argene Mills, Beverely (Robert) Williams, and brother, Allen (Diane) Hall. And many other extended family whom she loved.
Preceded in death by her parents, her wonderful grandparents, Jakob and Therese Reiter, who had such a positive impact on her life; and sister, Laverne Madsen.
The family would like to thank Dr. Krista Schonrock, Dr. Brian Crandall, the Woodland Park Care Center, and many others who have cared for and supported Terry through the years.
