Shirley Fornoff

Shirley passed away November 3, 2019 at the age of 94.  She was born, July 25, 1925 in Logan, Utah to James J. Larsen and Irene Elizabeth Taylor Larsen.  Shirley grew up in Logan, attending Logan schools and graduating from Logan High School.

She married Boyd Dee Fuhriman, August 11, 1943.  They resided in Cache Valley  until they moved to Salt Lake City in 1963.  They raised four children, Cathy (Stephen) Jensen, Kristine (Rex) Gleason, Cydne Wyatt Fuhriman and Brett Boyd Fuhriman.

Mom always put us kids first.  She not only raised the four of us, but also helped raise her granddaughter, Camie Rae Fuhriman.  She regarded her nephew Kim Ray Fuhriman as one of her own and he is like a brother to us.

Boyd died in August 1973, she married Lou Fornoff, January 26, 1985 and gained another daughter, Karen (John) Bishop.

She loved sports and was active in her youth, always trying to keep up with her brothers.  Later in life she loved watching tennis, baseball (The Cardinals) and basketball (The Jazz).

She was an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints until her 90’s.  She loved her home, her beautiful yard (thanks to her son Brett) and most of all her family.

She had 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.  Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Boyd Fuhriman, her husband, Lewis Fornoff, sister, Verba Greave, brothers, Roy J. Larsen, Golden Larsen, Darwin Larsen and grandson Joel Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, November 12, 2019, 12:00 p.m. at the LDS Chapel at 4407 S. Fortuna Way (3695 East), Salt Lake City, Utah  84124.  A visitation will be held prior to service at the church from 10:30-11:30 a.m.  Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
