Sharon Marie Bettridge Wood, of South Jordan, died peacefully on Thursday, September 28th, 2023, at the age of 81.
Born June 9,1942 to Don and Edith Bettridge, Sharon was raised in Emigration Canyon. Where she and her two brothers enjoyed exploring the mountains.
Sharon’s greatest love was her children, Troy and Barbie. She was a devoted mother who committed herself to protecting and providing for her children, which often meant working two jobs. Even when working multiple jobs, she was always there as a parent and never missed a softball game or childhood performances. She worked as an account manager for various retirement centers during her career. This led to meeting many people and making countless friends over the years.
Sharon had a love for reading and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed cross stitch and crochet. She made sure to crochet a blanket for all her grand and great grandchildren. She was a fun spirited soul who was easily excited by the penny slots. She also had a love for the outdoors and appreciated the change in seasons. Her passing was the beginning of fall, her favorite season.
Everyone who knew Sharon knew how very kind, sensitive and caring she was. She was thoughtful of others and cared for the people around her. Sharon is survived by Troy (Kris) and Barbie (Alexia), her beloved children; grandchildren Karlie and Skyler; great-grandchildren Kyron, Kinlee, Karcyn; her brothers Don & Bruce; and an abundance of friends. Sharon will be missed & remembered by the many whose lives she touched.
