1965 – 2014
Shari Larkin, age 49, loving mother, wife and friend, has passed from mortality on her journey to eternal life. Shari was born on February 24, 1965, in Salt Lake City, to Gordon Ramon Eggertsen and Patsy Butts.
She graduated from Brighton High School, and, married Bob Meeks. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Master's Degree in Organizational Behavior from Alliant University. In addition, she received her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and was a Notary Public. She had a real estate license and worked for Siegel & Co. in property management. Shari started teaching group aerobics when she was 18 and taught for 30 years. Shari will be remembered for her desire to improve herself and those around her.
Her daughter Makayla was her best friend and love of her life. They loved to spend time creating lifetime memories together. Her son Tim brought her great joy and she took pleasure in his accomplishments and advancements in the US Navy. She loved taking every opportunity she could to talk to him when he was away.
Shari also held various positions in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints including Primary teacher and Counselor in the Relief Society program. Faith was a word of action for her as well as a belief.
Her brother, Brent Lund; and her father, Gordon Ramon Eggertsen have preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Dan Larkin; children, Tim Meeks, Makayla Larkin, Justin Larkin (Allie), and Jessica Ellis (Sam); mother, Patty Butts (David); sisters, Julie Eggertsen, Jennifer Cunningham (Tim), and Jackie Gabler (Glen); and brothers, Ryan Eggertsen (Suzan), and Bradley Eggertsen (Kay).
Viewing will be at Farewell Funeral Service on Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 -10:45 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2014, followed by the Funeral at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 5431 N. Maroa Ave., Fresno, CA. Interment will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Rocklin District Cemetery located at 4090 Kannasto St., Rocklin, CA.
