Scott came into this earth as the first born “baby boy” to Don E. Petersen and Betty Petersen. He was their pride and joy. Scott was a son that a father could always be proud of and a “mama’s boy” like no other to his admiring and loving sweet mother. As a big brother to 3 little sisters, he was kindhearted, caring, giving, loving and, of course, protecting. He would always make sure that they knew how much he loved them, maybe even more than the Raiders. His friends simply knew him as “Buck”. A nickname his dad gave him (“Buck” is the best nickname a boy can have”). He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and spending time at “The Ranch”, his favorite place to be. The Ranch is where all the family reunions were held. Scott loved his family. He loved to be with them, and he loved being there for them. His generosity and his gratitude were equal at the highest levels.
Buck was the guy with the curls that got all the girls. They loved to watch him speed around in his corvettes and ride wheelies on his dirt bike. The girl that Scott chose to marry was an angel. Laura (the prettiest of them all) became his wife and together they had a “baby boy” Jasen who instantly became the pride and joy of their lives. It was easy to tell, and you always knew that “J” was number 1 to his mom and dad. Each and every time that Jasen was even mentioned, Scott would light up with a smile.
His nieces adored him as well, probably because every time they saw him, he would hand them money. They loved him dearly, but he loved them more. He loved everybody more. His life’s purpose was to make other people happy and that, he did.
His heart was huge, and he always gave all of it. The biggest part of it belonged to Betty. His mother, his best friend, and his life. He watched after his mom like a hawk and took care of her in a way that only a loving son could. Many people thought they were married. Nope - just in love. They were each other's air and water, light and strength, sunrise and sunset, support, and survival. Without one, then no other.
Scott’s mother “Betty” returned to her Fathers in Heaven just weeks ago. Scott’s huge heart was broken and left lonely. Together again with his mother and best friend and all who have gone before - His dad (Donnie) and of course Betty (mom) Laura (former wife) Grandmas and Grandpas, Sister (Jenny), Nieces (Kylie & Rubie)
Calling all angels - Rest in Peace Together in love forever.
Scott is survived by Lisa (Sister) (Parker & Nolan), Bonnie (Sister) (John) (Rennie & Raegan), loving Aunt Heather, aunts and cousins galore, And more than all, his Son Jasen (Michelle)
