Paul Bay Ellis
October 18, 1962 - August 22, 2014

Paul Bay Ellis, born October 18, 1962 of Cottonwood Heights, Utah passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on August 22, 2014, at only 51 years of age.  His beloved wife, Amy Henriksen Ellis, and children Kevin & Emily, Jacob & Amanda, Brian, and Jodi will treasure his memory forever.  He was able to meet his first grandchild, James, and the two loved playing and napping together.  He is survived by his parents Bob and Mary, all of his nine siblings (Laura Leary, Marianne Tonks, Kathy Parsons, Connie Carrier, Chris Quincy, Bob Ellis, Dean Ellis, Nancy Gomez, Scott Ellis) as well as his mother-in-law, Evelyn Henriksen, Amy’s seven siblings (Tricia Stoker, Deanne Wilde, Janet Thurston, Richard Henriksen, Roger Henriksen, Peggy Brown, Todd Henriksen) and 88 nieces and nephews.

Paul showed his immense Christ-like love by always serving those around him.  Countless neighbors have lost their auto mechanic, roofer, plumber, electrician, all-around handyman, and dear friend.  As a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in the South Africa Johannesburg Mission, in the Bishopric, the Young Men leadership, and currently on the High Council.

Family was his number one priority.  Boating might’ve been a close second.  He was an avid water skier and spent hundreds of hours sitting at the helm patiently repeating, “Like you’re sitting in a chair: knees bent, arms straight…”

Though the pain is all but overwhelming, his family is filled with faith and hope for that day when they’ll embrace again in joy as an eternal family!
