“Together Again”

Melba Marie Nielson Cram, age 90, passed from this life on to the next on October 26, 2015 of natural causes at Carrington Court in South Jordan, Utah.  She was born on February 24, 1925 in Bluewater, New Mexico to Frihoff Peter Nielson and Marie Cluff Nielson.  She attended Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona.  She met the love of her life and eternal companion, Mark Rasband Cram, while he was serving as a missionary in the California-Arizona mission.  They were married on July 20, 1943 in the Logan Utah Temple.  She has been a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout her life and held many callings.  She also served for many years in the Jordan River Temple.  She and her husband served a full time mission in the Perth Australia mission from 1987-1989.  She would tell you that her greatest calling was to be a devoted and selfless wife, mother, grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her family would agree!  To all that knew her, mother was a dear friend, optimistic, forgiving, unpretentious, spunky, and happy. Her hobbies have included camping, boating, water skiing and travelling. She worked for many years in food services for the Jordan School District at Brighton High School.  She is survived by her daughters Constance Goeckeritz (Klaus), Vicki Cram, Janene Ihler (Greg) and sons Mark N. Cram (Robyn), Reid N. Cram (Tina), and Kent N. Cram (Tammy).  She has 29 Grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and all of her siblings.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 Bengal Blvd (7600 S), Cottonwood Heights.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 11:00 AM at the Redwood Ward Building, 12070 Laurel Chase Drive (1550 W), where friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.  Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn South Valley Cemetery, 13001 South 3600 W, Riverton, Utah.
