Marv Emery, Jr.

Marv Emery, 63, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. Marv was the son of Lynnae and Marvin Emery Sr. and siblings included David, Evan, and Melanie Emery. Marv’s favorite thing to do was be in the wilderness, especially building big bonfires and hiking/biking with his family. He especially loved spending time in the Uintas, Montana, and Wyoming.

Marv was a big animal lover and his best friend was his dog Whiskey. He constantly cared for wild, hurt animals- befriending them and nursing them back to health. Marv also played tennis professionally, enjoyed motocross, and loved being active.

Marv’s friends and family will always remember his playful teasing, wild stories, bold personality, and humor. Marv is survived by his wife Julie Emery, and five daughters, Natalie, Necia, Cydney, Cassidy, and Kylee. One of Marv’s proudest achievements was being a grandfather to Carmen, Alexa, Ari, Andre, Jameson, and Nash. Anytime we are in nature, biking or hiking outdoors, we will remember Marv and the joy he brought to our lives. Marv will be missed and his spirit will always be celebrated by those who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.).  A visitation will be held prior to services from 11:00 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. *Due to family health concerns, face masks will be required for everyone attending the services.*
