Our beloved mother and friend passed away on 1/11/2016 in Salt Lake City, UT of natural causes. Born on 4/8/1923 in Goldroads, AZ to George Norman Deming and Julia Marie Biddlecome.
Preceded in death by husband Paul R Stoddard (deceased during WWII), Glen L Ricks (deceased from kidney failure in 12/1967), and Newel F Josephson (deceased from heart failure in 4/1997).
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was beloved by her neighbors and ward family.
Survived by her son, David S Ricks and Patricia Pehrson Ricks and their children: Mattthew Ricks, Michael Ricks, Allison Jess, Trisha Jensen, Tiffany Kirkham, Joseph Ricks, and Daniel Ricks, her daughter Carole R Houtz and her children Danielle Eisert, Nathaniel Houtz, Benjamin Houtz, and Bradley Houtz, 29 great grandchildren, and her lifelong friend Gwen Hopkin.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, 11 am, at the Canyon Ridge ward house; 2695 E 7000 So, Cottonwood Heights, UT. The viewing will be held at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) on Friday from 6-8 pm, and 10-10:45 am prior to the funeral services at the church. Interment will be at Mtn. View Memorial Estates, 3125 E 7800 So, SLC, UT.
