Lynda Shah, beloved mother, passed away on June 30th, 2023.
Lynda was born on August 28, 1948 in Salt Lake City, UT. Lynda was known first and foremost as an animal lover. She was a vegetarian and took great care of her dogs: Bungie, GG, Brighton, Jack, Kennedy, and Lennon. She also loved her cat Salinger, Sally and Lily, and finally Paris. She loved Japanese style gardening and the outdoors activities like hiking, cycling, kayaking. She is shown at Ashley national forest, which is near Flaming Gorge where she owned a trailer with her brother Scott Kehl and really enjoyed the Flaming Gorge dam tour, which she thought was even better than the Hoover dam. She moved to Clarksdale, AZ for a brief period and enjoyed the scenery and enjoyed visiting old Jerome while driving her beige Mustang. She moved back to Utah in March, 2019 in Riverton. She was married to Waqar Shah with whom she had one son, they lived in California until they divorced. Later in life she married Jeff Fergus.
Lynda continued activities like walking, gardening, and going to dinner even as she suffered from mid-level dementia after her move back to Utah. Fiercely independent, she preferred doing things herself, but would always let her son Kamran know if she needed anything. She always kept her house clean and in good order and loved her Japanese style screens and furniture. She continued making contributions to Best Friends and Farm Sanctuary.
She is survived by her son Kamran and her brother Scott.
