Lonnie was a beloved son, brother, father and grandfather, he passed away on January 28, 2017 in Midvale, Utah. Born September 16, 1957, first son to Leo L. and Karren Nielsen.
Lonnie attended Hillcrest High School where he excelled in football and baseball. He was a lifetime Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs fan.
Lonnie married Michelle Park, August 1977, later divorced but remained friends. They had one son Daniel.
Survived by mother, Karren; brothers, Bret (Brenda) Steve (Lee Ann); son Daniel (Sarah) and granddaughters, Mariah, Allysea, Kennadi; grandson, Anthany Dudley and many nieces and nephews.
Lonnie made friends with everyone he met. His keen sense of humor and funny stories made us all laugh and smile and will be sorely missed. He had the heart of a giant. I love you pops: DLN.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
