Lillith Lorraine Jones Court

April 21, 1931 – March 12, 2014

Lillith Lorraine Jones Court, born April 21, 1931 in Malad City, Idaho to Lillith and Lester Jones, died March 12th, 2014 in South Jordan, Utah of natural causes.

She married Ray B. Court in the Logan Temple, July 26th, 1950. Together they lived and worked on a family cattle ranch near Dillon, Montana for 20 years. Lorraine taught piano lessons to anyone who wanted to learn even if they could not pay.

She loved music and often played the organ and piano for church and community events.  In 1971 Salt Lake City became their home. Lorraine adjusted by being a realtor and Property Tax Manager.  She was always serving her children, grandchildren and those around her.

Lorraine will always be remembered for her love of music, art, handwork, and most of all family and friends. She will be remembered as the fun spunky grandmother lovingly referred to as Ma.  She could do more in one day than most could dream of.  She and Ray served as missionaries on Temple Square and as a temple worker.  Her service was cut short as health problems left her bedridden and blind for many years.  Through a miracle, she was granted the gift of sight for the last four years of her life, allowing her to be acquainted with grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she had talked to but never seen. The greatest gift she gave her family was her abiding love for her Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ and the eternal truths she learned, lived, and taught.

We dearly love and thank all those in her South Jordan Branch and Legacy House Assisted Living of South Jordan who tenderly loved and helped in her care.

Her husband, Ray Court, precedes her in death.  She leaves many family members who love her dearly; siblings, Lester Jones, Nora Lee Hilton (Richard), Dallas Jones (Sandra), and Fern Kay Hill (Allen). Children; Bertha Gay Iorg (Dane), Belinda Cleverley (Dennis), Byron Court, Bruce Court (Kaye), Becky Mackintosh (Scott), 25 grandchildren and 40 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held, Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the River Ridge 1st Ward, 10124 South 1300 West, South Jordan.  A visitation will be held Monday, March 17, 2014, Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from9:30 to 10:45 a.m.  Interment Tuesday, March 18, 2014, 4:00 p.m. Pleasant View Cemetery, Pleasant View, Idaho.
