LaVon Wood Hunter, beloved mother and grandmother, 91, passed away on March 3, 2011 at the Wentworth at Willow Creek.
Born March 29, 1919, Holden, Utah to Clyde Wood and Lillian Paul Wood.
Married Earl Hunter on January 15, 1938, solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Earl passed away on May 23, 2003.
LaVon was an active member of the LDS Church.
She served in many church callings including an extended call as Relief Society President.
Survived by daughters, Lawna (Harry) Webster, Lynne Church, sister-in-law, Lisa Hunter, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son, Scott and son-in-law, Carl Church.
The family would like to express thanks to the Wentworth staff and Sunbrook Hospice for the loving care they gave to our mother.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 7, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Olympus 8
th
Ward, 2675 East 4430 South.
Friends may call Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.
