Kenneth Omer Kemp
1955 – 2018
A bright light joined the universe on January 24th, 2018. Our friend and brother Ken ascended up after a 4-year battle with lymphoma. He was 62 years old.
He was a surfer, filmmaker, a pilot, an attorney, and flooring craftsman. He was a multiple award-winning author and independent publisher with 12 titles. Did we mention he was a musician too? Piano and jazz.
He did a lot with the time he had, and made us all look like slackers. His dad OC got his co-pilot back. Fights over the stick? Flights over Bryce Canyon. His ashes will go there.
Ken is survived by six siblings, sisters, Bonnie Sheets, Cheyrl Dearing, Gail Arthur, Joy Young, Marbe Campbell, and brother, Virl Kemp.
Memorial services will be held, Saturday, February 3, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 2925 E. Bengal Blvd. (7800 S.), Salt Lake City, UT 84121.
God speed for your next adventure, Ken. We will keep the landing lights on.
