Karl Franklin Freeman

Our beloved Karl Franklin Freeman rode his last ride on February 7th, 2025 surrounded by his family at the age of 71.

Karl was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Melvin and Belva Freeman. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kay, his son Cody (Amanda), his daughter Callin (Colby), his grandson Colter Spratt, and his brothers Keith and Eric. He was preceded in death by his mother, Belva, his father, Melvin, his sister, Julie, and his brother, Doug.

Karl was a hard working, smart man. His entrepreneurial spirit began at a young age. He was a man of many hats. He has done everything from wedding receptions, off road recovery, custom home building to being a bouncer but his proudest accomplishment is his commercial investments.

Karl was the most humble, selfless, and caring man in the world who loved spending his time outside. Whether it was sitting outside on a rock reflecting on life, sitting in his field in his side by side, or spending time at his family ranch in Mackay, Idaho. Honest and fair is the best description of Karl, who lived by one of his favorite sayings: “Fair is fair”. Karl had a love for life and was alway a happy man. Above all, family meant the most to him, and his most cherished moments were those spent with his loved ones.

He held a special place in his heart for Little Creek, our family ranch. Countless summers were spent on the ranch in his side-by-side or dump truck, planning for its future, and ending the day with a Coors Light so cold he needed a glove to hold it. The perfect day at the ranch was always shared with his family.

Karl, you will be so missed and you will always be in our hearts. Your legacy will live on through your kids.
