Julie Marie Trafelet

August 17, 1964 — April 23, 2023

Good night my precious friends.
May there be peace in your hearts as you lie down to rest.
Sweet Dreams!

(Julie’s final Facebook Post April 12, 2023)

Julie Marie Trafelet, age 58, of Myton, passed on April 24, 2023, in her sleep at her home in Myton, Utah where she finally gave in to her relentless health issues.  After a long and courageous fight, she is now at peace with her parents and brother in a place free of pain - and probably full of dogs.
She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 17, 1964, to Maurice Howard Trafelet and Priscilla Marie Johnson. Growing up with two older brothers and two younger ones she learned resiliency. She had many expectations placed upon her during her young life, expectations not shared by her brothers, but endured them well and remained positive. She will be remembered for her enormous capacity for forgiveness and her ability to bounce back from her challenges with humor and positivity.
She loved freely and without any conditions. She was accepting of all, never judging anyone.
Julie was abundantly creative and constantly thought of others. She made many lifelong friends to whom she showed extraordinary loyalty and devotion.  She was always well connected with her various Church congregations of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and benefitted from so many amazing examples of Christ’s pure love and service to her. She and her family will forever be grateful for the support shown by members of her church.
Julie is survived by her husband, Jerry Spangler, who remained by her side until the end; brothers, David, Charles, John, and her many dogs that she loved as children.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Mark.
A family graveside service will lay her ashes to rest at the far east end of the West Jordan, Utah, Cemetery next to her mother and father.
