Judy Andrus
1940 – 2015
Judith (Judy) Carolyn Wilmarth Andrus, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on June 20, 2015. Judy was born in San Jose, CA on July 4, 1940 to Gary Wesley Wilmarth and Margaret Leone Drury. She married her devoted companion, Roger Perry Andrus, on September 15, 1961 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Judy provided many years of dedicated service to others functioning as President of the Women’s, Youth and Children’s organizations as well as instructing Gospel Doctrine for many years.
Judy graduated from East High School in SLC and attended both the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. Her love of education extended to a career teaching pre-school. She was always a loving advocate for children, especially her grandchildren.
Judy had many interests and hobbies including a love of golf, music, travel and playing games with her family while snacking on popcorn and peanuts.
Survived by her husband, children John (Joanne) Andrus, Kristine (Steve) Parkin, Karen (Scott) Woodhead, Kimberly (David) VandeMerwe and James (Jennifer) Andrus, 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and Sister Marilyn.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mountain Point 10 th Ward LDS church building, 498 East 14085 South in Draper, UT. Friends may call at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Blvd. (7600 South) on Thursday, June 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior at the place of service. Interment at Mountain View Memorial Estates, located at 3115 East Bengal Blvd. (7800 South), in Cottonwood Heights, UT.
