1935 – 2011
Jeri Michie Mills born August 26, 1935 to Mae and Lambert Michie, the first of 4 children. Passed away peacefully October 30, 2011.
Married her rebel sweetheart, Fred, August 14, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had 4 children. Her greatest joy was the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was like a mother to many neighborhood children. Loved her travels around the country and had visited every state but Oklahoma. Holidays and any other excuse she could think of she gathered her family around her (and we loved it).
Survived by her husband, Fred E. Mills, her children Craig (Cherie) Mills, Sharon (Doug) Rupp, James, Linda (Todd) Clarke, her brothers James (Nanette) Michie, and Kent (Barbara) Michie, sister, Helen Michie and friend Barbara Tingey; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and caring in-laws.
The family would like to thank the many friends and neighbors who helped care for Jeri. A special thanks is extended to Hospice, especially Regina, Rita, and Brittany. Angels couldn’t have served any better.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund. Education was very important to Jeri.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood 8 th Ward, 6301 South 2300 East. A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) and the day of the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Burial at Mtn. View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South.
