Jeannine Roper Mackay

Our much loved and cherished mother and grandmother, Jeannine Roper Mackay died peacefully on Saturday, May 13, 2017, with her family surrounding her. We rejoice in her reunion with her beloved husband, Brent, son, Scott and daughter, Suzanne as well as grandson, Eric.
Born November 26, 1928 to John M. and Mignonne Kammermann Roper. Mom was a Granger girl and still kept in touch with life-long friends that she had known since junior high and high school. She met and married our father, Brent Bawden Mackay at the young age of 18; they were married in the Salt Lake Temple and enjoyed 61 years together. They raised their family of 6 children with strong family values, kept us all close and loving with many, many family get-togethers that included family camping and fishing trips to Blacksfork. She loved animals, flowers, new adventures and most of all spending time with family.
Mother had a strong faith and testimony of our Savior and loved serving others. Together with dad they raised their family in a gospel centered home with their love and devotion to each other, church and family.
Survived by children, Nancy Mackay, Lynette Stevens, Alison (Craig) Gunther, Russ (Janet) Mackay; son-in-law, Marty Christiansen; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and brother, Warren K. Roper.
