Jeannine Anderson

09/03/1931 - 06/15/2013

Jeannine Anderson died in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 15, 2013, of complications incident to age. Jeannine was born Sept 3, 1931, in Brigham City, Utah, to Heber Andreas Anderson and Judith Jensine Jensen. The youngest of seven children, she attended Box Elder High School and subsequently earned degrees from Weber and Utah State Agricultural Colleges in Elementary Education. She was frequently a choice for select staff and curriculum committees both on the District and State Board of Education level.

Jeannine spent 34 years educating primarily 4th to 6th grade children.  She was highly regarded as an unusually gifted teacher.  She was notable for remembering the names of virtually everyone she taught and met.  It was common for many years after her retirement to have former students and parents engage her on the street to thank her for significant contributions to their lives.  She was a member of the LDS church and had a deep testimony of the Gospel.

Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by nephews and nieces Gary Quinney, Glade Quinney, Susan (Vince) Breglio, Mary (Joe) Barton, Richard (Moonyean) Anderson, Kent (Linda) Anderson, Allen (Linda) Anderson, Lee (Sheila) Anderson, Karen (Ned) Therien, David (Sue) Anderson, and Bruce (Gayle) Anderson.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hillside Rehabilitation and Inspiration Hospice for their kind care throughout her stay and in her declining months of struggle.

Graveside services and interment will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the Brigham City Cemetery, 300 East 300 South, Brigham City, Utah.
