Jana Sue Goldsberry Brown
1976 - 2015
Jana Sue Goldsberry Brown born December 6, 1976, passed away on October 12, 2015. She was a cherished daughter of Heavenly Father. She will be missed by her best friend and eternal companion, Jon Brown. They were married on August 19, 2006, in the Bountiful Temple.
She will be missed by her parents, Kent and Louise Goldsberry, and Bruce and Robyn Brown, and combined siblings: Rob, Jill, Kristina, Marty, Matt, and Jill, James, Jet, Jolyn and Jen. She had many nieces and nephews.
Jana graduated from Bountiful High School, then attended Weber State College for two years and graduated from Salt Lake Business College with an associate degree. She worked at Smiths Grocery to pay for college, and she had many favorite customers. Jana recently got her CNA and has been working in the memory care at Canyon Creek Assisted Living Facility. The staff, the residents, and the resident’s families loved her.
Jana was always an optimist. She was a person without guile and was a peacemaker. Jana always looked for the bright side of everything and was a person of faith, hope and charity. She loved her family and Jon’s family. Jana set an example of how to deal with, and overcome adversity.
The people, who knew Jana really well, know that outside of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and her families, she loved movies, reading, scrapbooking, crafts, and puzzles. Musicals were her favorite movie genre, but she loved them all. She was a Star Wars fan and decorated her bedroom with Star Wars posters. And she loved the Harry Potter books and movies. Jon and Jana loved going to movies and watching movies at home. Jana was able to attend ComiCon just before she had surgery and it was a highlight of her life. She had so much fun.
Jana loved music. She loved singing in her High School and Institute choirs. She loved playing the piano in her parent’s home and missed it when she got married. She played music from all her favorite groups on the keyboard in her apartment. She entertained Jon’s family every Christmas Eve with Christmas and seasonal songs. Christmas and Halloween were her favorite holidays.
Jana loved life and wanted to live a long one. She had such an aggressive cancer and it was not possible to stay on earth any longer. She was very brave and uncomplaining right up to the end. Jana and Jon had a special bond. There aren’t many people in this life as well matched, and who loved each other as much as they did. Jana will be missed by all the people she ever met.
Survived by her husband, Jon; parents, Kent and Louise Goldsberry; brothers, Robert, Martin, and Matthew; and sisters, Jill Feil and Kristina Syddall.
