Ione A. Petersen, passed away December 13, 2014. She was born January 17, 1919, Hyrum, Utah to Milton A. Allen and Loraine Rose Allen. She married Ira Lynn Petersen and they spent over 50 years together. He passed away December 7, 1992.
She is survived by her children, Marcia (Dallas) Solum, Kathleen (David) Wakeling, Jolene (Stephen) Jolley and Sherrie Lynn (Brett) Lloyd; 22 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sisters LuDean Andersen and Barbara Sanders. Preceded in death by son Alan Lynn Petersen; brother, Milton J. Allen; sisters, Cora Jean Bingham and Lovisa Kaye Anderson.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at the Hyrum City Cemetery, Hyrum, Utah.
She lived a life of service and was a true friend.
