Helen Dee Silvers was born on June 9, 1921 to Scott and Emma Dee and passed away on March 24, 2016 at the William E. Christofferson Salt Lake Veterans Home at the age of 94.
She married William Ray Silvers on November 28, 1946 in the Little Brown Church in The Vale, Nashua, Iowa. She served in the Navy Waves in WWII. Helen enjoyed her family, friends, cooking and basketball. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church for many years.
She is survived by her husband; son, Michael Silvers; daughters, Dee Ann Silvers Wilcox, Kelly Silvers, Susan Silvers Hall; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Dee; sisters, Evelyn Dee Pitman, Phyllis Dee Van de walle ; son, William Robert Silvers and granddaughter, Nicole Silvers.
Services will be held at the Christ United Methodist Church, 2375 East 3300 South, Salt Lake City, on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Interment Murray City Cemetery. Pallbearers, Nathan Wilcox, Sarah Wilcox Parkinson, Jessica Wilcox Hesler, Scott Silvers, Hilary Hall and Riley Hall.
