Evelyn Grace Jackman Ellett
1954-2017
Early morning, April 3 rd , Evelyn Grace Jackman Ellett, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, won her battle with cancer and passed away at home in the company of her loved ones. She said “I am going to the most beautiful place there is. “ She was a shining example of a wife and mother, and the epitome of what a grandmother should be. Her Grandchildren were her life. She accepted and loved without judgment or condition. She will be fondly remembered by many for her thoughtfulness, willingness to help and love, caring, and understanding. The positive impact of her life extends through generations and across the globe.
Born on July 4, 1954 to Don and Norma Jo Jackman in Murray,
She grew up in the Cottonwood area and attended Cottonwood High School (71-72), where she met her sweetheart, Mark Ellett. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on May 3, 1974, celebrating 43 years of marriage. She is survived by her husband (Mark), four children (Matthew, Jessica, Lisa and Jeffery) and nine grandchildren.
She loved to travel with her husband. She enjoyed going to Texas, Florida, Oregon, Washington, New York and Nevada. But mostly she loved going to California with Sam and Jodi Pew. She loved the beaches and the sound of the Ocean. She could sit and listen for hours. That’s why she loved cruising so much.
Her family is exceptionally grateful for the outpouring of love from those whose lives were touched by hers.
