Esther Louise Stoddard

Esther Louise Stoddard, age 88, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2024, at the local hospital, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 10, 1936, in Bountiful, Utah, to Charles William and Amanda Lavenda Kingston. 

Louise was married to the love of her life, Earl Weaver (Bill) Stoddard, on November 6, 1954. Together, they raised a loving family, which includes their children: Scott, Janie (deceased), Jimmy, LeAnne (deceased), Dorothy, Angi, Shain, Freddy, Carri, Jinger, and Luke (deceased). Louise was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in her heart. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, who passed away on March 24, 2018, and by her daughters Janie, LeAnne, and baby Luke. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Jim, Fred, and Jesse, and her sister Kathleen. 

Louise was the oldest of seven siblings. She is survived by her brother Rodger and her sisters Manerva "Sherri" and Anna. 

A woman of many talents, Louise enjoyed teaching, writing, singing, painting, and playing the piano and guitar. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, and her kindness, creativity, and love for her family left a lasting impact on all who knew her. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the LDCJC Chapel, 1880 Parkway Boulevard, with a viewing on Tuesday, December 3rd, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. in 1846. Interment will take place at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
