Our Angel Mother
Our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Ellen Frederickson Bolander, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2013 and was reunited with her husband, parents and five brothers, Jack, Dave, Gleyre, Paul and Grant.
Born July 24, 1915, Salt Lake City, Utah to David Franklin Frederickson and Ellen May Coulam Frederickson. Married Reed Carroll Bolander on November 4, 1938 in the Logan LDS Temple; he passed away in 1954.
Faithful member of the LDS Church, serving in many positions including being called as Relief Society President for five years at the age of 86. Ellen was always a missionary and a friend to all.
Survived by children, Reed James (Bernice), Drew Franklin (Darlene), Betty Bolander, Connie (Nelson) McQueen, Nola (Nils) Carlson, Cherie (Patrick) Miller, 36 grandchildren and 92 ½ great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 2556 West 9800 South, South Jordan. A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank Carrington Court Assisted Living and Millcreek Hospice for their tender care.
We will miss her kindness, her caring, her words of wisdom and her “Ellenisms”.
