Edward Raymond Laukat

Edward, “The Boy Wonder”, returned home on June 26 th after living a full life of 97 years. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA to Paul Laukat and Mary Elizabeth Bullock, Ed learned to work hard. His first job at age 8 was going door to door selling the “Saturday Evening Post”. He got a nickel for every copy he sold. He loved automobiles and had a car business for 40 years. At age 79 he worked at Cannonball Musical Instruments for 14 more years. He served our country in WWII and the Korean War. Ed married Miriam Ann McAllister and raised two sons, Tevis Raymond & Ronald Wells. He and Miriam served in the LDS temple for 20 years. Ed was gregarious, which endeared him to many. His positive attitude contributed to his long healthy life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam, and survived by his sons, Tevis (Sheryl) and Ron (Julee), five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held 10:00 to 10:45 AM, with a funeral service at 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 2 nd at the Wasatch 5 th Ward Chapel located at 8100 S. Top of the World Dr. (3675 E.), Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
