Dorothy Elizabeth Westling, April 23, 1922, returned home to our Father in Heaven Friday, June 24, 2011. Our "little mamma" was 89 years old and still as sweet and gentle as ever a person could be
.
She taught us to love all of God's creations and every one of His children. She had willing hands and friendship for all.
Born and raised in northern New Jersey with 3 brothers and her beloved sister Ruth.
Dorothy's greatest joy was having her family around her; she loved the peace and friendship her grandchildren shared; she was very proud that they rarely fought and the older ones looked out for the younger ones.
Her faith and constancy through long years of trial are a legacy she has passed to her children.
When the 'Mormon' missionaries knocked on her door she knew the truth 'immediately'. She finally understood that God was her Father and that families are eternal
.
Dorothy and Fred were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints in 1953 and
a year later traveled to Utah to be sealed and have their children sealed to them in the Manti temple.

Joan (Dave Groom, NJ), Jean (Jerry Gervais, NY), Charles (deceased), Mark (Patti, AZ), Joy (Jerry Greenwood, UT), Ellen (Alan Hardman, UT), David (Carolyn, UT), Jonathan (UT). She left 30 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
