Dottie, our loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2012 at the age of 87. Born May 16, 1925 in Alpine, Utah to George Ernest Clark and Isabelle Wilkin.
Mom’s example to us was her faith and willingness to serve others. She was a faithful member of the LDS Church. She served in various ward and stake callings. She served as a temple worker for several years in the Jordan River Temple. She also served an LDS mission to the West Indies. She was a member of the Utah Daughters of Pioneers, holding Regional and Camp positions. She also served in the Utah Pharmaceutical Association and was the LDS Hospital Gift Shop Manager and buyer for many years. She loved to write poetry, plays, road shows and tributes for friends and family members. Mom was loved by all for her gentle kindness, concern and consideration of others.
Dottie taught us to take each day, make the most of it, and work hard. She always said to hit life head on, to live life righteously and to set a proper example. Her legacy, pride, and joy are her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survived by her children Sheila Watson (Ridgeland, MS), Susan (Michael) Davis (Murray, UT), and Shane Stevens (Holladay, UT), along with 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood 1st Ward, 5913 So. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
