Donna Rae Weron
1927 – 2017
Our beautiful, kind and loving mother, Donna Rae, gallantly exited this world in the early morning hours of Thursday, November 30, 2017. She is survived by her son, Mark Andrew Weron, and her daughter, Kathleen Denise Weron and three grandsons: Andrew Toth, Nicholas Toth and Will Toth.
Donna was born in Aurora, Colorado and she loved her Rocky Mountains. Donna worked for the federal government and her career took her to Los Alamos, New Mexico and Fairfield California. It was in Fairfield, while working at Travis Air Force Base that she met Wilbert “Bert” Weron, fell in love and got married. Together, Donna and Bert moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and raised their two children among a menagerie of animals, including dogs, birds, ducks, geese, fish and a horse. Mom loved to laugh and she loved her friends, and Bert and Donna spent many weekends camping, boating and snowskiing with friends.
However, mom’s great loves were her close relationship with Jesus, her family, and studying the Holy Bible. She walked with Jesus daily and even set up a makeshift Vacation Bible School in her basement for all the neighbor kids. She was always an inspiration and taught us many valuable things; to love unconditionally, to be faithful in all things, to follow Jesus with all our heart. She was very special and she will be missed. Mom, well done. Thank you.
The family is deeply grateful to Loisi Saafi, who lovingly cared for mom with enormous loyalty. She cared for and held her until the very end.
