Donna Lee Christiansen, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother returned to her Heavenly Father at her home on January 28, 2013.
Born March 12, 1927, Ferron, Utah to Robert Reed Loftis, Sr. and Zona Killpack. Married Simon M. Christiansen on February 21, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Donna liked to be known as a domestic engineer. She was a wonderful homemaker, excellent gardener: able to grow anything. She had impeccable taste, was an amazing seamstress; an aficionado of shoes and a very classy lady. Her children and grandchildren knew her as a perfectionist. Donna was a great support to her husband in his many church callings and his profession, and always a gracious hostess. As a very hard worker she instilled a great work ethic in her children.
Survived by husband, Simon; children, Martin Reed (Suzanne); Michael Lee (Susan); Connie Lynn (Karl) Thomas; Wade Scott (Debby); Cynthia (Jim) Finch; Teresa (Louie) Margetis; 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister, Gayle (Jack) Engebretsen, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her grandson, Erik Matthew Christiansen, and two sisters, Jean Helen Carlson, Carol K. Loftis, and one brother, Robert Reed Loftis, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 2, 2013, 1:30 p.m. at the Brighton 5
th
Ward, 2325 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) A visitation will be held Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 12:00 to 1:15 p.m. Interment Mountain View Memorial Estates.
