Don Brown
April 23, 1927 – March 1, 2015
Don and Bette Brown once again reunited, holding hands and laughing. Don was born in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, raised by his loving parents, James and Jean Stierle. He proudly served as a Seabee in the US Navy. He met his best friend and lifelong love and married Bette on November 23, 1946.
Tough as nails, he taught his family the importance of family first, integrity, strength and unconditional love, a true inspiration. Always dedicated to his family, we will miss the twinkle in his eyes, his stories and his laughter.
There is a huge hole in our family, but he would be mad if we mourned him. He’d say “have a drink of my Grey Goose for me; don’t let it go to waste. That’s the way it is out here in the west.”
Don is survived by his daughters, Donna (Tom) Jorgensen, Susan (Chris) Roraback, his grandchildren, Adam, Peter and Farrah and his great grandsons, sister, Joan (Stan) Haynes and brother, Jimmy (Judy) Stierle, as well as his dear friend and sidekick Gayleen Johanson.
Special thanks to his friend’s Dr’s Marcus Brann and Fred Gottlieb.
Per Don’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held in the summer.
