Dean Pete Nate was born on August 30th, 1986 in Salt Lake City, Utah and died the morning of October 15th, 2021 in Midvale, Utah at the age of 35.
Dean grew up playing soccer from the time he was four through his mid-twenties. He was a skilled left-field defender and supported his team on and off the field as often as possible. He hosted small soccer tournaments with his team as well as many video game raids, tournaments, and hangouts. His influence of teamwork spread far and wide, no matter what game he was playing. He loved video games and over the years he made many friends while mastering games like Halo, Rocket League, Call of Duty, Smite, and Destiny. Another of his favorite pastimes was consuming chips, on a grand scale.
From 2011-2015 he served in the United States Army. While serving in Korea, he met his wife Ritchelle and they were blessed with their son Jax in 2013. After serving in the army he worked constantly for his family and friends.
Dean is survived by his wife Ritchelle Refuerzo Nate, his son Jax Refuerzo Nate, his mother Kimbra Kay Warnecke (Kurt), father William Pete Nate (Lynn), older brothers Scott Jackson and Bobby Nate, little sister Haley Kay Nate (Allen), step siblings Cassity Marie Warnecke, Shawn Somerville, Victorino Refuerzo, his grandparents Kay Louise Roberts (Dean), Marvin Mills (Vikki), Ray Talmadge Nate (Geraldine), many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends on and offline.
Memorial services will be held at Cannon Mortuary (2460 Bengal Boulevard, (7600 S.) Cottonwood Heights, UT, 84121) on October 23rd from 3:00pm - 5:00pm. Due to the donation of his organs there will be no viewing, only an informal gathering to celebrate his life.
