David Anthony MacMillan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 75.
David was born on January 14, 1949, in Sacramento, California. He served in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Taiwan, a time that left him with many cherished memories. After his service, David relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1973, where he met his future wife, Eleanor, in a night club. In 1977, he was promoted to Managing Director of the New Mexico region, and he and Eleanor moved to Hobbs, New Mexico, where both of their children were born. The family finally settled in Salt Lake City in 1989, where David continued his successful career and managed the Salt Lake office until his retirement. Throughout his life, David was known for his strong work ethic, unwavering integrity, and dedication to providing for his family. His kindness, generosity, and commitment to others left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
David is survived by his devoted wife, Eleanor; his two children, Valerie (Jaden) Calkins, and Kenneth (Lefei) MacMillan; and his beloved grandchildren, Penny, Tabby, and Maple. He was a proud father and grandfather, and his family was the center of his world. David also leaves behind many dear friends who will miss his presence, humor, and friendship.
A funeral service will be held in his honor on December 19th at noon with a viewing at 11:00 AM at Cottonwood Presbyterian Church, 1580 Vine St., Murray, UT 84121. Following the service, there will be a burial at Memorial Mountain View, 3115 E. 7800 S., Cottonwood Heights, UT. All who knew David are welcome to join his family in celebrating his life.

David will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor, and his quiet strength. He made a lasting impact on everyone he met, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
