David Hugh Leonard, 69, of Payson, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Santaquin. Dave was born May, 20, 1945 in Salt Lake City to Woodrow Hugh and Jane Cannon Leonard.
Dave worked at Signetics and Brigham Young University. He retired from BYU in 2010. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an Eagle Scout and was a member of the 328 th Army Reserves Unit from 1966 to 1970. He enjoyed golfing and the outdoors.
Dave is survived by his children: Chad (Kari) Leonard; Jodi (Branden) Black; Tierney (Griffin) Harris; Trevor Leonard; a sister, Laurie (Tom) Atkins; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Tracy J. Leonard and a grandson, Tracy Chad Leonard.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. in the Payson 15 th Ward, 779 South 700 West. Friends may call from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. the day of the funeral. Interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East.
