Who am I, sir? A Utah man am I, A Utah man, sir, and will be till I die!
Our beloved David McCall Hosick passed away peacefully while surrounded by family and friends October 15 th , 2013. He was born on February 25 th ,1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Frank Hosick and Betty (McCall) Hosick. Survived by his true love and wife of 20 years Susan (Mead ) Hosick and his four furry babies; stepson, Jeremy Hahn (Jaime); stepdaughter, Sheri Kraus (Jerom); sister, Michelle Sorensen ( Dave ); nephews, Eddy and Burke Davis; niece, Jamie Willard (Mark).
After completing his education at the University of Utah, Dave promptly acquired a position with the Union Building. Almost daily Dave would stop in the 7-Eleven to buy treats for his fellow employee’s, and on one specific day, he met his future wife Susan. To this day the term “Oh thank heaven for 7-Eleven” has a very special meaning to her. Dave retired in February of 2012 after a lifelong career at the University of Utah.
A very quiet man, gentile demeanor, and never, ever had a complaint. He will be missed by all.
