It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darren Clayne Poulsen. Our beloved husband, loving father, precious son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2025 at the age of 56.

Darren was born on December 31, 1968, in Murray, Utah to Betty Lou and Clayne Poulsen. He was a devoted son who always showed love, loyalty and unwavering support.

He married his best friend and soulmate Emily Elizabeth Watkins on June 29, 2004 in an outdoor ceremony at LaCaille Gardens in Sandy, Utah.

Above all, Darren’s love for his family was unmatched. Time spent with his family traveling and boating at Lake Powell was one of his life’s favorite memories. Darren was a dedicated, kind, compassionate, proud father to his 3 daughters. His warmth, humor, and caring nature left an irreplaceable mark on them and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Darren's life was marked by his unwavering kindness, hardworking nature, and an enduring passion for both his family and his career. Owning his own company and working side by side with his dad was one of his greatest joys. Prosecutive Landscaping allowed him to express his creativity and gift for beautiful natural environments.

He leaves behind his loving wife Emily, and their children, Sydney Carmody (Hunter), Lillian and Zoey. Darren also leaves behind his parents Clayne and Betty Lou Poulsen, his siblings Wendy Wallace (Von), Jacque LeRoy (Joel), Stephanie Archibald (Blaine), Vickie Ricks (Ryan), and many other family and loved ones who will miss him deeply.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 12:00 pm at the East Ridge 6th Ward Chapel: 11777 South Willow Wood Drive, Draper UT 84020. A viewing will be held prior from 10:00 - 11:30 at the same location. Interment will take place at Memorial Mt. View Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
