Christopher Dale Patterson was born October 22, 1947, and passed away peacefully on March 28, 2021, at 73 years old.
Chris started his journey in Worcester, MA, the middle child of Charles W. Patterson and Florence C. Patterson, lovingly placed between his siblings C. William Patterson (Evelyn) and Deborah J. Patterson (Paul McAuliffe).
While building out his career in hospitality and gaining experience in the restaurant industry, Chris moved West to join Gastronomy Inc. as their General Manager, settling in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chris said he knew he found home the moment he entered the Salt Lake City valley and looked upon the Wasatch Front.
He soon met the mother of his children, Suzanne Savas, and the two of them raised Chris’ pride and joy, his two children Nicholas Patterson (Stephanie) and Rachel Patterson Harding (Adam). The joy his children brought him was indescribable. He was a loving, dedicated, loyal, and compassionate father. His passion for children continued when he became a grandfather to Carter and Nash Harding. Spending his days with family was his happy place; he also defined a good time as being on the open road, listening to an Eagles album, visiting family and friends, and traveling to a never-ending destination. Soon after having his children, Chris made the leap to open his own restaurant, Christopher’s Prime Tavern & Grill, which has been operating in Salt Lake City as a premier steakhouse since 1996.
Chris cherished being a father to Nicholas and Rachel, grandfather to Carter and Nash, brother to Bill and Debbie, and uncle to Will, Laura, and Gabriella. Chris is loved and will never be forgotten; his memory lives on with each individual life he connected with.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Chris’ immediate family members will be holding a private viewing at Cannon Mortuary with the interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park on March 31, 2021.
