Carolee Kalyn Davis
1960-2014

Carolee Kalyn Davis was born August 20, 1960, to Melvin and Jean Kramer.  After being surrounded by her loved ones, she died on January 31, 2014.  She is survived by her adoring husband, Clarence Davis, her two devoted and loving daughters, Tina Sylvester and Sabrina Weiss; her sister, Christine Morgan and her brothers, David Kramer and Robert Kramer.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Jean Kramer, and her brother, Craig Kramer.

She was very proud of her daughters and her “adopted daughters,”  Lisa Wilson, Vickie Hessler, and April Webb, not to mention her seven wonderful grandchildren.  Dear friends, who supported her family and vigilantly watched over her before her passing, also miss her.

Carol, also affectionately called “Boosie,” started life with the challenge of birth defects, which should have taken her life.  Instead, Carol achieved her first incredible feat and survived.  Her survival was sufficiently remarkable to be written up in a medical journal.  Throughout her life she continued to take on life’s challenges without defeat, including never giving up on achieving her CNA certification.

Next to her love for family and friends, Carol was a devoted animal lover, particularly dogs.  Most recently, she rescued a feral cat and her kittens.  Her natural compassion led to a career working in nursing homes, delivering care, comfort and compassion to the elderly.

Carol was also noted for being a devoted Elvis fan, proudly owning an extensive collection of Elvis albums, CDs, pictures, and the fond memory of a pilgrimage to Graceland.

A funeral will be held Monday, February 3, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Sun Ridge Meetinghouse at 5422 South Sarah Jane Drive (5240 W.) in Kearns, Utah.  Rather than flowers, we know Carol would appreciate donations made in her name to Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd., Kanab, UT 84741.
