Barbara Ann Schultz Westenskow

1928 - 2014

Barbara Ann Schultz Westenskow, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away on December 31, 2014 and joined her eternal companion Wes and devoted son Mike, along with many family members and friends.
Barbara was born May 2, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Vera Ann Treharne and Glenn M. Schultz. She was married to Donald Reese Westenskow on June 23, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple by Joseph Fielding Smith. They celebrated 60 years together before he passed away July 10, 2008.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Barbara served diligently in various ward and stake callings, including as a long-time temple worker and five years as a host at the Conference Center with her sweetheart.
Barbara greatly enjoyed music and had tremendous musical talents on the piano. She shared her talent with primary children, musical roadshows, choirs, and special needs youth. Barbara willingly shared her talent in support of all church activities and found great pleasure and comfort in playing the piano. Her talents and willing service will be greatly missed. She was known for her friendly attitude, beautiful smile, loving touch and elegant style. She was a great example to so many and missed her husband dearly.
Survived by children Steve (Karen), Judy (David) Bruse, Gay Najmabadi, Lee (Annette), and Todd (Amanda); 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; and brother Merrill (Carolyn) Schultz and sister-in-law Evelyn Schultz.
