Born in Salt Lake City on February 7, 1927, Barb lived eighty-eight amazing years magnified by her tremendous accomplishments.
Barb grew up in the Harvard/Yale area and graduated from East High and attended t he University of Utah . Barb and Don were married after he was freed from a Nazi prisoner of war camp. They were married in the Salt Lake LDS temple on June 4, 1946. Soon after, Don and Barb moved to Kansas City where Don attended dental school. Barb always handled herself with grace and sophistication, which echoed in her creative endeavors. From her magnificent floral arrangements to her watercolors, everything she touched became beautiful. She knew how to have fun! She threw a great party and started some wonderful family traditions. Her annual Christmas Breakfast showcased her mother’s favorite recipes. This tradition will continue for generations to come. She enjoyed snow skiing, golf, dancing with Doc and boating. Barb was also a “card shark” that could beat the best of us at Gin, Hearts, Bridge and Hand-In-Foot.
Barb loved the Lord and was an active member of the Ch urch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served in several callings, including Relief Society leadership and other axillaries.
To her family and friends , Barb was MorMor – everyones ’ grandmother. Her home was the favorite gathering place for food, games and her spiritually uplifting family prayer circle.
