Ashlie Baldwin
6/24/1984 – 01/28/2016
Ashlie Baldwin, beloved daughter, sister and friend passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016. She was born on June 24, 1984, the third of four beautiful daughters, to loving parents Ilse Wightman Baldwin and Glade Baldwin. Ashlie excelled in gymnastics and won multiple awards and trophies. She attended Brighton High School where she graduated with honors and a perfect 4.0 GPA in 2002. Ashlie then went on to attend the University of Utah. Her exceptional scholastic abilities and life-long love of learning was second only to her love for animals and her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed the company of all animals, though none more so than her hairless cats. Her special connection with her beautiful cat Bandit brought her immeasurable strength, peace and joy. Though the last few years of her life were punctuated with struggles, Ashlie had a tireless support system in her mother and father who stopped at nothing to get Ashlie all the assistance she required. She was deeply touched by the teachings of Yogi Ramesh Pandy and sought to brighten the lives of those around her through laughter. Ashlie had a strong testimony of the LDS faith and was a very spiritual person. Ashlie shared a special bond with her younger sister, Tiffani. She loved and adored her sister and often expressed how proud she was to be her big sister. Whether taking goofy selfies or getting a matching ‘big sister’ and ‘little sister’ tattoo, they were the best of friends. Ashlie is free of the pain and struggles of the world, and has gone on to beautiful white shores. She is survived by her father, Glade Baldwin; her loving mother, Ilse Baldwin; her sisters Sariah (Peter) Kolb, Heather (Scott) Karren, and Tiffani Motta; her nieces and nephews; and her precious “Bandi Boo.” Ashlie your contagious beautiful laugh and giggle will always be remembered. You are so loved.
